The design of the International Wooden Bakery aims to merge the traditional and the modern to preserve the authentic mill bakery experience, while responding to the latest technology in the field.

Since the mill has always been the trait symbol of Wooden Bakery, a mill was engraved within the building to bring it to life. With this in mind, we integrated a linear light in motion to simulate the rotating effect of the mill.

The main elevation curves were carved to mimic the wheat field’s gracious allure, and the concave entrance symbolizes the act of thankfulness.

For a more welcoming interior, we introduced irregular dynamic strips in the ceiling and flooring, evoking the wheat plant shape, to suggest the customer’s flow. Generous natural light and green elements offer a relaxing state in the cafeteria, and widens the space for social interaction.
